I have traveled all over the world and have seen indescribable bias against women in the work place. I tell my daughter all the time she can make as much as she wants if she is willing to work hard and chooses the right career path. According to your survey even the CEO is underpaid!! I guess I was hoping women in America had climbed a bit higher on the pay scale.
When I managed a sales engineering team I had a strict rule of compensating people based on experience and results. As the hiring manager for the North American team I would base my offer on my approved budget and the experience level of the candidate. I hired one woman in the middle of my bell curve at about $125k per year. With her sales targets she was at $160k per year. ($3100 a wk) Granted, she was in So Cal. and had several years experience in the space, during the same week I also hired a guy who had product experience but no sales experience and he was hired at $90k (the lowest paid guy on my team) with a promise to review his progress every 6 months. His total compensation put him at $120k if he hit sales targets.
With that said all your posted salaries are very low for the skills described. Assuming there are specific compensation packages for "C" level employees I would have expected many of these positions to be over $2k a week. Take Software Sales Engineering for example, A junior engineer may get $90 - $100 k but generally anyone with 2-3 years or more experience jumps into the $120k, base pay, ($2300 /wk) and senior Sales Engineers are in the $140k base per year or $2700 a week. give or take a few dollars then add in the commission structure and one could hit $200k a year.
Bottom line is I find these salaries to be on the low side.Trimanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01551267114472248659noreply@blogger.com
